Concrete kerbs are often used for making sidewalks, separating two different pavings etc. On the pictures below, we can see how to lay them properly and what is important for making a quality border with a kerb.
There are few important things to be aware of: ground under the kerb must be hardened as much as possible and it must be at least mixed with sand. The concrete must be of good quality and the kerb should be highly concreted. Don't save with concrete, it is the only thing that "glues" the kerbs together.
Laying the kerbs is not difficult, just make sure that the lines are straight. You can help yourself with a tauted string. Some kerbs need to be grouted, some don't (it depends which type of kerbs you have). On the pictures below we can see that kerbs are just putted one to another withou grouting.
